Surgical Director of SKINLIFE CLINIC, Practice Devoted to Skin Health and Skin Procedures

Dr. Moon Choi is a skin scientist, a Yale University-trained clinician, and an internationally recognized lecturer for cosmetic injections and skin pigmentation. Dr. Choi is one of the few government-certified aesthetic providers of cosmetic botulinum toxin, injectable fillers, body-contouring procedures, cosmetic PRP injections, energy-based aesthetic devices, and other cosmetic procedures allowed under/by provincial licensing authority. For the last two consecutive years, Dr. Choi has been crowned as Canada’s number one Restylane filler and Dysport botulinum toxin injector and one of the top three cosmetic surgery providers in Vancouver. He is one of the most highly sought-after filler injectors among the local Asian population and celebrities for his natural and balanced results and for his unparalleled injection techniques.

Dr. Choi enjoys teaching aesthetic doctors. He has extensive experience in teaching cosmetic procedures at conferences, seminars, and workshops all over the world including Canada, USA, Korea, Singapore, Brazil, China, India, Russia, Poland, Thailand, and Vietnam. Dr. Choi’s teaching portfolio includes botulinum toxin injections, fillers, melasma, scar revision surgery, non-surgical face lift, cosmetic PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), and PRP hair loss therapy. In 2016, he became the first and only Canadian instructor to be invited to teach an elite group of Korean plastic surgeons and dermatologists at a live filler injection seminar hosted by the Association of Petit Aesthetic Surgery (APAS) in Seoul, South Korea. In 2017, Dr. Choi was appointed as one of the academic directors for the Korean Aesthetic Surgery and Laser Society (KASLS). In addition to botulinum toxin injections, fillers, and laser treatments, he enjoys performing advanced skin surgery for scars and skin tumors, and prescribing evidence-based medications for various skin conditions. He is a fellow of the Canadian Society of Skin Medicine (CSSM) and completed the diploma of the Australian Institute of Dermatology (Dipl. AID) with distinction. He became a top-tier graduate of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), after successfully completing the Academy’s highest level of training and qualifying examinations.

He has developed and since has been teaching his innovative filler injection techniques, such as the Empty Needle Aspiration Test and the Indirect Cannula Advancement Technique, for maximum safety and minimal tissue trauma. He trains and certifies aesthetic doctors through workshops hosted by the CSSM. In addition to that, he offers private advanced injection to medical specialists and family physicians in Vancouver via one-on-one training. Dr. Choi has been a lecturer for Galderma, an international dermal filler (Restylane) and botulium toxin pharmaceutical company. He also was a contributing author of the Dermatologist & Plastic Surgeon’s Magazine, in which his clinical lecture series on skin pigmentation was published every month from 2013 to 2015. He has been invited to be a journal reviewer for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal by the Springer (USA) in USA.

In his clinical practice in North Vancouver, Dr. Choi dedicates his work to provide patients with cutting-edge treatments carefully researched in terms of safety and efficacy using his extensive knowledge in facial anatomy, aesthetic procedures, laser technology, and natural medicine.
