DermaSculpting™ is the newest innovation by SKINLIFE. We believe that it is truly groundbreaking in its unique ability to simultaneously and effectively target multiple skin concerns using a single treatment plan. The loss of elastic skin tissue such as collagen presents in many different forms, namely as ones that are commonly considered to be skin imperfections such as depressed acne scars, flushed appearance of the skin, enlarged pores, loose skin, fine wrinkles, and dark circles. These skin imperfections are often present with changes in skin pigmentation such as sun spots, melasma, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The conventional approach for most patients who often have a combination of such issues would be to target them individually with different treatment lasers suited for each, requiring a long-term commitment to multiple treatment plans with multiplied downtime periods and costs. DermaSculpting™, on the other hand, through its ability to concurrently address multiple concerns by stimulating collagen production in the treated skin, may improve and help restore skin towards its healthiest, most optimal state. Furthermore, whereas some of the traditional methods of atrophic scar treatment and skin regeneration are associated with lengthy onset periods and long visible downtimes thus extended activity restrictions, DermaSculpting offers an expedited delivery of treatment benefits with a far shorter and easier recovery process.

What is DermaSculpting™?

DermaSculpting™ is an intradermal deposition of a unique compound of collagen building substances, using SKINLIFE’s trademarked and proprietary trans-epidermal delivery technique.

How DermaSculpting™ Works

SKINLIFE’s very own delivery technique, a unique process we have named “Mechano-Acoustic Channeling,” dispenses a precise amount of collagen-promoting substances including Hyaluronic Acid and Poly-L-Lactic Acid to the lower layer of the skin (called the dermis), through microscopic channels created by radio frequency electrodes and micro-plasma shock waves. The combined action of topical application and Mechano-Acoustic Channeling stimulates natural collagen building for up to 6 months following each procedure, which over time results in the flattening of skin depressions and thickening of the skin.

Results & Benefits

While the onset of treatment outcome depends on the body’s rate of natural collagen production, initial improvement can be seen as early as 4 weeks. Additional improvement continually follows over the course of 3-6 months after each treatment session. Newly built collagen as a result of DermaSculpting™ is your very own natural collagen, therefore is no different from collagen naturally produced and found in other parts of the skin; therefore, rather than the longevity of treatment outcome being limited to a set shelf life of the substances used in the treatment, it prolongs for as long as the newly generated collagen, just like that of one’s collagen that has continuously generated and disappeared within his/her body since infancy, naturally maintains within one’s skin. The treatment benefit can be even further preserved by the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and upkeep of collagen production after the recommended treatment plan has been followed through and the intended treatment outcome has been achieved. As skin collagen gradually disappears with aging, repeat treatment, especially for patients for whom the treatment is performed with a focus and goal of anti-aging, may be required with the progression of the natural aging process and an inevitable loss of collagen that ensues. In addition, if a patient encounters new injury to the skin due to causes including but not limited to new acne, repeated muscle contraction, pregnancy, and/or weight gain/loss, additional treatment sessions can be repeated to regenerate the lost collagen.

  • How many treatment sessions do I need?

Most patients generally require a minimum of 3-5 sessions.

  • What is the treatment interval?

Although the recommended interval varies depending on the condition(s) that the treatment is intended to treat as well as each patient’s skin condition, on average, the ideal treatment interval between each treatment is 4-6 weeks. While following the physician’s recommended treatment interval is beneficial for an earlier onset of visible treatment outcomes, a longer interval between treatment sessions does not reduce potential treatment efficacy itself.

  • Is DermaSculpting™ painful?

Topical anesthetic cream application is offered to minimize discomfort during treatment. Additionally, local anesthetic injections may be administered for additional comfort. SKINLIFE also offers the use of analgesic laughing gas for patients who desire additional relief.

  • Is there any downtime following DermaSculpting™?

Redness, localized bruising, mild swelling and small scabbing typically resolve in 4-7 days. Cosmetic concealer can be applied 24 hours after each treatment session.
