WHAT IS TATTOO REMOVAL?

Skinlife Vancouver provides the state-of-the-art laser tattoo removal service. Q-Switch ND:YAG Laser is considered the gold standard for laser tattoo removal of tattoos. Q-Switch ND:YAG Laser emits short bursts of energy toward ink in the skin with highly concentrated colored light beams. These laser beams are selectively absorbed by ink and cause fragmentation of ink particles into tiny fragments which are then removed by the body in weeks of time. This process of fragmenting the ink particles requires multiple sessions depending on the depth of the tattoo ink.

HOW TATTOO REMOVAL WORKS

Skinlife’s Q-switched ND:YAG Laser represents the newest advance in laser tattoo removal. With its highest peak power and fractional beam delivery mode, stubborn tattoo can be moved with much lessened risk of complication and greater comfort.

IMPORTANT FACTS
  • How many treatment sessions are required?
Shallow black tattoos can be removed as little as two treatments scheduled about 3 weeks apart. Majority of professional tattoos usually require 6 to 10 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Removing multi-colored, deep tattoos may require 20 treatments spaced approximately 6 weeks apart.
  • Does Tattoo Removal hurt?
With Helios III laser, tattoo removal is much less painful than with other laser systems. Air chiller is often sufficient for small, simple tattoo. For other tattoos, numbing cream applied two hours before the procedure makes the treatment comfortable.
  • How long does each treatment take?
Each treatment session generally lasts 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Can all tattoos be removed completely?
Unfortunately, not all tattoos can be removed completely, but the majority of tattoos can be.
